Where:
PAC - Main Stage, Winona State University, 175 West Mark Street, Winona, MN 55987, USA

On the way to writing a classic revenge thriller laced with political intrigue, William Shakespeare drafted one of the greatest plays ever written. Thanks to Hamlet’s razor sharp wit, the play is not only unexpectedly funny, but profoundly direct in confronting the essential questions at the core of what it is to be human. In Hamlet’s struggle to make order out of the chaos around him, we see our own lives mirrored.

When:
July 31, 2014 @ 7:00 pm
Where:
PAC - Main Stage, Winona State University, 175 West Mark Street, Winona, MN 55987, USA

The Merry Wives of Windsor is a bawdy, hysterical take on fidelity, centering around one of the great comic characters of all time, Sir John Falstaff, mentor and friend to the young Prince Hal of Henry IV and Henry V. But even Falstaff, master of wit and of tavern pranks is no match for the title characters in this story of cuckoldry and deception, where the Wives exact their revenge on their “men being men.”Merry-Wives-image-1024x808

GRSF: Rosengrantz & Guildenstern are Dead

When:
July 30, 2014 @ 7:00 pm
Where:
PAC - Main Stage, Winona State University, 175 West Mark Street, Winona, MN 55987, USA

As he did in Shakespeare in Love, Tom Stoppard uses dazzling language in a Shakespeare inspired story that asks, “what if?” What if we are minor characters in our own story? What if we are trapped in a play we can’t alter? The result is a profoundly funny, deeply moving portrait of modern life as seen by two characters who disappear from Hamlet in a single line: “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead.”R & G-image-1024x824

Hamlet is arguably the greatest play ever written. Unexpected funny, Hamlet grapples with the core questions of our lives while remaining sharp, witty, direct and relevant to a modern audience.
