The Winona Brass Band is a British style brass band made up of 25 brass players and percussion section. Founded in 1993 and is directed by Dr. Dick Lindner. Many of the players are current and former concert band directors from Winona and surrounding communities. We also have college students, high school students, and community members who just love to play.
A space for area musicians to get to know each other, share songs and ideas…an opportunity to try out new material or jam on old favorites among fellow musicians and appreciative listeners…a musical potluck! All acoustic musicians welcome. Bring instruments, voices, songs or just come to listen.
Everyman Productions and Ryan Witt bring a viewpoint on Hamlet to get fans and first time Shakespeare viewers alike excited for the upcoming GRSF season. Fifteen to twenty minute speeches will be given on the similarities and differences between The Dark Knight and the Sweet Prince throughout the evening along with Q and As if interested.
The Old Fashions are Amanda Chessa and Byron Sorrells. In December of 2011, an escaped Texan met a native New Yorker from Westchester County. The two formed The Old Fashions. The Brooklyn duo makes soulful roots rock that appeals to whiskey-sipping Texan types, Brooklynites, and any one who likes a seamless blend of country, pop, and rock.
