The American Red Cross supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood. Donating Blood takes about 30 minutes. To donate blood you’ll need an ID or a blood donor card. You must be in generally good health in able to donate blood. High school students and donors under the age of 18 must also meet certain height and weight requirements.
