A film by Barbet Schroeder – In the early ‘90s Ibiza, Jo, a 25-year-old composer from Berlin, arrives eager to immerse himself in the rising electronic music scene. In a quiet house by the sea, Martha has lived in solitude for four decades. When their paths cross, Jo becomes fascinated by the cello she won’t play and the German she won’t speak, uncovering a past she’s determined to leave behind.
