At 6 PM, Olson will give a talk titled “Quilted Plastic Waste: The Medium IS the Message,” sharing how his work gives new life to single-use plastics. About the Artist
Raised on a hog farm in Iowa, Erik Jon Olson learned early how to be creative with what he had. After a long career in advertising, he took a sharp turn—transforming plastic scraps into stunning artwork. Now based in Plymouth, MN, Olson works from his home studio, where he re-imagines plastic waste into large-scale, award-winning pieces that make you think twice about what we throw away.
