See Trash Transformed into Art with Erik Jon Olson – Thursday Night at 6 PM
Join us for an eye-opening evening with artist Erik Jon Olson, whose powerful new exhibit, Waste Not, turns discarded plastic into bold, quilted art installations that challenge how we think about waste, sustainability, and consumerism.
At 6 PM, Olson will give a talk titled “Quilted Plastic Waste: The Medium IS the Message,” sharing how his work gives new life to single-use plastics. Afterward, from 6:45–7:45 PM, wander the gallery, ask questions, and chat casually with the artist. Prefer to skip the talk? Just swing by at 6:45 PM to meet Olson and explore the exhibit at your own pace.
About the Artist
Raised on a hog farm in Iowa, Erik Jon Olson learned early how to be creative with what he had. After a long career in advertising, he took a sharp turn—transforming plastic scraps into stunning artwork. Now based in Plymouth, MN, Olson works from his home studio, where he re-imagines plastic waste into large-scale, award-winning pieces that make you think twice about what we throw away.
Don’t miss this chance to meet the artist and experience art that makes a difference.
