Drop in anytime between 3 and 6 p.m. for our Museum Makers Valentine Workshop at the History Center! Create up to three vintage-style valentines using provided supplies, with help from class leaders offering inspiration, ideas, and a dash of Valentine history.
From handwritten love notes of the 1400s to ornate Victorian cards, valentines have a long story to tell. You’ll even meet Esther A. Howland, the 1840s entrepreneur known as the “Mother of the American Valentine.”
This drop-in workshop is $5 for members and $8 for the public, payable at the door. Open to all ages, best for ages 6+, with adults accompanying children. Groups are welcome; please call 507-454-2723, ext. 0 or 3, to give us a heads-up.
