About 94,000 Minnesotans live with Alzheimer’s or related dementias, supported by 250,000 unpaid caregivers whose efforts are valued at more than $3.5 billion annually.
During a statewide tour, Dr. Gaugler is meeting with families and professionals to share information, stories, and support, reminding us that no one faces the dementia journey alone. This free public event will explore how to recognize, prepare for, and manage Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Gaugler holds the Robert L. Kane Endowed Chair in Long-Term Care and Aging at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and focuses his research on Alzheimer’s, long-term care, and supporting families facing memory loss. The tour is sponsored by the Minnesota Northstar Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program and presented through the Dementia Educational Experience Roadshow (DEER). 🧠✨
