JJ Slater Trio

JJ Slater is back for a two-day run of folk, soul, and rock ’n’ roll at the Trempealeau Hotel.

Hailing from New England but carrying a deep affinity for the American Southwest, JJ has spent years touring across the U.S. and Europe with his Telecaster in tow, crafting songs that sit comfortably between the loping pulse of classic Americana and the harmonic, shape-shifting sophistication of 70s LA jazz-rock.

He’ll be performing selections from his record The Silver Key, testing out new material on the road, and digging into tracks from an upcoming JJ Cale tribute project.

Known for stretching songs into new terrain, no two sets are likely to feel the same. One day will feature a full front-to-back performance of The Silver Key. The other will spotlight the JJ Cale tribute album due out this summer. They’re reportedly flipping a coin to decide which takes the stage each day.
