Campfire Concert Series: Jacob King Downs and The Mud Puppies

🎶 Another Campfire Concert Series debut is on the way!

We’re excited to welcome The Mud Puppies from Duluth to the Campground Stage for the very first time. Fronted by singer-songwriter Jacob King Downs, the band brings fresh energy and heartfelt songs inspired by North Country favorites like Charlie Parr and Trampled by Turtles’ Dave Simonett, with a nod to classic Americana storytellers such as Townes Van Zandt.

Bring a lawn chair, grab a bite from one of the food trucks, and spend a summer evening with live music, good neighbors, and the kind of community that’s built one song at a time.

The Campfire Concert Series is free and open to everyone. Set in Prairie Island Campground’s welcoming community garden, it’s a place where friends, families, and first-time visitors gather to share music, stories, dinner, and a little fresh air. Kids can also enjoy hands-on nature and art activities with the Swamp Oak Wanderers.
