“Adoration: Apocalyptic Futures” Multimedia Installation

Mai’a Williams will present a collaborative, multimedia installation of her writings alongside the photography exhibition Adoration. Her texts, drawn from her recent collections Apocalypse Here (2024) and In a World Full of Sleeping Giants, You Get to Be Awake (2025), will parallel and complement the visual themes of the exhibition.

Mai’a Williams is a writer, interdisciplinary artist, doula, and cultural worker whose socially engaged art has taken her worldwide. She has lived and created with communities in Palestine, Egypt, Ecuador, Mexico, Germany, and the U.S.

Williams is the author or co-editor of five books, including Apocalypse Here and The Future of Love. Her work has earned her numerous fellowships and grants, including support from the Minnesota State Arts Board and Springboard for the Arts.
