Newfoundland and Labrador is the easternmost province of Canada, with the Strait of Belle Isle separating the island of Newfoundland from the mainland of North America. Human habitation in the region dates back approximately 9,000 years. The province is also the closest landmass to where the Titanic sank on April 15, 1912. Though deemed unsinkable, the Titanic foundered in the frigid Atlantic waters off Newfoundland after striking an iceberg.
In 2004, Taff Roberts embarked on a “Walkabout” in Newfoundland and became captivated by its people and rich history. He will share his insights and experiences from this remarkable island.
