Free Concert w/Violinist Carla Loayza Álvarez

A violinist and educator with deep roots in performance and teaching, Álvarez began her musical training at age five and was a soloist by fourteen. She has performed with leading orchestras in Peru while also devoting her career to music education, directing youth ensembles and teaching violin at the university level for nearly two decades.

 Álvarez will be joined by Saint Mary’s student string ensembles, sharing selections developed during a student workshop earlier in the week.
