Winona State University proudly presents “Dreaming: Senior Design Exhibition 2026,” an immersive and thought-provoking exhibition that invites the community to step into the rich, mysterious world of the subconscious. Through the interconnected themes of Falling & Flying, Remembering & Forgetting, and Transforming & Awakening, Dreaming encourages visitors to reflect on movement, memory, change, and the personal journeys that shape human experience. Guided by the recurring symbol of the butterfly, the exhibition offers a visually compelling path through moments of transformation, imagination, and discovery.
Hosted by the Winona State Design Program, Dreaming will be on view April 20 through May 8 at the Laird Norton Center for Art & Design, 125 W. 5th St., Winona. The public is warmly invited to attend the Opening Reception at 5:30 p.m. April 23, where these emerging designers will share their creative processes, discuss the development of their work, and engage with visitors through conversation, questions, and networking. This exhibition celebrates the talent, ambition, and vision of Winona State’s rising designers while highlighting the power of design to make inner experiences visible, meaningful, and shared.
