Winter Wonder Woods w/ Winona Outdoor Collaborative

What happens to the floodplain forest in winter? Join us for a one-mile, unpaved hike where we’ll play a quick game and explore this unique ecosystem. The trees may look lifeless, but are they really? How do they survive and make food? What about the animals—do they still rely on trees in the colder months? And what role do other plants, fungi, and lichen play in this winter landscape?
