🌊 Climate, Water, and the Midwest—A Community Conversation
The Minnesota Marine Art Museum, in partnership with Winona State University, invites you to a two-day conference:
Climate Change and Freshwater: The Past, Present and Future of the Midwest
This free, public event brings together artists, scholars, and community members to explore the future of freshwater in our region. Registration is requested by March 19, 2026.
📍 Friday | MMAM | 5:30–7:00 p.m.
Kick things off with a keynote from interdisciplinary artist Tali Weinberg, exploring the role of art in the climate conversation.
📍 Saturday | WSU | Beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Start the day with breakfast, followed by presentations, workshops, and poster sessions focused on freshwater sustainability and climate change in the Midwest.
Weinberg’s work—bridging climate science, environmental data, and textile art—is currently featured at MMAM in Water | Craft (on view through December 27, 2026).
Come listen, learn, and be part of the conversation shaping our shared future. 💧
