Winona turns up the volume each spring.
Since 2011, the Mid West Music Fest (MWMF) has transformed the city into a multi-venue, multi-genre celebration of sound, spotlighting more than 40 acts alongside special collaborations and one-of-a-kind performances.
This all-ages festival spreads music across Winona’s stages big and small, filling downtown with funk, soul, folk, indie rock, and everything in between. Artists travel in from across the Upper Midwest, drawing crowds that ripple from venue to venue and turn the city into a living playlist.
At its core, MWMF is more than a festival. It’s a mission-driven celebration of music and art activism—supporting regional artists, energizing downtown, and creating educational opportunities for community members, students, and emerging musicians alike.
Winona doesn’t just host this festival. It becomes it.
